1. What Splitr Does
Splitr helps users manage shared bills and expenses. Users can create groups, create bills, create reminders, upload profile photos, upload proof of payment, manage group memberships, submit feedback, request data exports, delete accounts, submit support tickets, and optionally purchase a subscription.

We do not directly collect or store your full payment card details.

Because Splitr is a group-based app, some information you provide may be visible to other members of your groups.

- Reminders or bill activity related to the group
- Membership changes
You should only add information to a group that you are comfortable sharing with the relevant group members.

6. International Transfers

Where this happens, we take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as using providers with recognised data transfer mechanisms, contractual protections, or other legally recognised safeguards.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the App, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, maintaining security, and enforcing our Terms.

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise personal data where reasonably possible, subject to legal, technical, security, and shared-record limitations.
8. Account Deletion
You can request account deletion in the App.
When you delete your account, we will take steps to delete or anonymise your personal data. However, some data may be retained where necessary, including:
- Records needed for legal, accounting, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes
- Security logs
- Backup copies until overwritten
- Shared group or bill records where deletion would affect other users' records
- Support records required to evidence previous communications
Where shared bill or group data must remain available to other users, we may anonymise or detach your account identity from that data where appropriate.
9. Data Export
You can request a data export through the App.
Where applicable, we will provide personal data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
Your export may not include data belonging to other users, internal security data, confidential business information, or data we are not legally required to provide.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data, including the right to:

11. Push Notifications
Splitr may use push notifications to send reminders, bill updates, group updates, and other app-related alerts.
You can control push notifications through your device settings and, where available, in-app notification settings.
If you disable notifications, some reminders or alerts may not be delivered.
12. Analytics and Crash Reporting
We may use analytics and crash reporting tools to understand how users interact with Splitr, diagnose bugs, improve performance, and make product decisions.
Where possible, we aim to minimise the personal data used for analytics.
Analytics data may include app events, screen views, device information, app version, crash reports, and diagnostic logs.
13. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including access controls, authentication, secure storage, and monitoring.
However, no app, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for making sure you only upload information you are comfortable storing in Splitr.
14. Children
Splitr is not intended for children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
If we make material changes, we may notify you through the App, by email, or by other appropriate means.
The updated Privacy Policy will apply from the effective date shown at the top of the page.
